Tim Snell is a Canadian artist who has been living and working in New York City since graduating from the New York Studio School in 1975.
Educated in Toronto and Montreal before moving to study in New York, his work is rooted in the long tradition of Canadian landscape painting, which informs both his cityscapes and his abstract work.
His mosaic commission for the New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority, completed in 2000, is at the 8th Street station on the Broadway line. Go to Broadway Diary//Tim Snell to view the 43 mosaics in detail.
